Cream Puffs

Hello All!
It has been fun trying all new recipes and creating some fun and fresh new ideas.
I have been quite disgusted with all the foods you find at the grocery stores lately, so I have been making just about EVERYTHING from scratch.

It's amazing how much dyes and additives they put in our foods now!
It's gross and I don't see any benefit in why we need it in our diets.
So, for the next few posts, I will be sharing with you some of the research
I have been finding on different foods and such.

Until then, I hope you enjoy this yummy recipe!
It is now gonna to be in the "Must Have" folder (and fridge)

Have a great week!

Homemade Cream Puffs with
Homemade Vanilla Pudding

Cream Puffs
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. flour
4 eggs, beaten
Homemade pudding and/or whipping cream
Fresh fruit, if desired

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium saucepan combine the water, butter and salt. Bring to a boil. Add flour all at once, stirring vigorously. Cook and stir until mixture forms into a ball. Remove from heat. Cool for 10 minutes. Add eggs all at once and mix well until blended.

Drop 12 heaping tablespoons of dough onto a greased baking sheet. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until golden. Transfer cream puffs to a wire rack to cool completely.

Cut tops from puff and fill with your desired filling, or with whipped cream and fruit, if desired.

Homemade Vanilla Pudding
3/4 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. corn starch
3 c. milk
4 beaten egg yolks
1 Tbsp. butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

In a medium saucepan combine the corn starch and sugar. Stir in the milk. Cook and stir mixture over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more. Remove pan from heat. Gradually stir in 1 cup of milk mixture into pan. Bring milk mixture to a gentle boil; reduce heat. Cook and stir for 2 minutes more.

Remove pan from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Pour pudding into a bowl. Cover the surface of pudding with plastic wrap. Serve warm or cold. (do not stir during chilling time).

Blessings,

I've made Cream Puffs Before, but not homemade vanilla pudding... it looks wonderful. I love that its homemade; and I agree with you and feel just the same about the food in the grocery store; it just doesn't set well with me at all. I do think the Lord is stirring His people to awake from a sleep and see what has been stolen from us while we were sleeping. Have a blessed week Amy.
Love you so much,
Pam

I will say these look amazing. This would be a wonderful dessert for a very special occasion.
Or for Mothers Day for your Momma.
I have to agree with Pam, most of the artificial stuff does not agree with my tummy anymore.
Did you see the Goot Post from Pam's blog, check it out.
