Laundry Joys

Same day service?!

Really? Who are they kidding?

Laundry seems to be a never ending chore.

It's the chore that keeps on giving and giving and giving!

I'm one of these moms that always forgets to take out the last load from the dryer and then has to
re- wash it because it's the clothes that needed ironed!
(I dislike ironing) so they never get ironed!

I feel better to get that off my mind. LOL!

Enough joking aside, I think we need to take joy in doing the laundry,
after all we moms are so blessed to be the keepers of our homes.

Take Joy in your chores!

The one thing I have noticed myself doing while folding the
laundry is each set of clothing I pray for a family member.

 For example:
The socks-I pray for my oldest son, Clayton.
For the shorts- I pray for my middle son, Noah.
For the shirts- I pray for my youngest son, Marshall.
And for work clothes-  I pray for my hubby.

It's also good to pray while folding because it really does pass the time
and I take great joy in listening to what the Lord is really saying to me.

So, next time you fold another heaping pile of laundry,
Remember to Pray!!

I hope you all have a fantastic week!

In God's Grace,

Praying while doing the laundry is a great idea! Scripture does tell us to all as unto the Lord, so that's a wonderful reminder today.

OH Amy, I love what you had to say about praying for your family as you fold the clothes :) You made me laugh about ironing - I detest it too and thankfully only have to do it twice a month! Your words challenged me today, thank you!

Many hugs to you!

I love this post Amy; I love how you pray for your family while you fold, that's perfect. I like laundry on days when I don't have 5 other things going; if I can concentrate and change loads when its time, and fold them when they are warm (like you said), then on those days, I am enjoying laundry. I like the clean smell, and the cozy, tidy piles. I don't iron lots and lots, but I do like to iron a pile and watch an old movie, the time goes faster that way too. Well, I better go... I just remembered I have a load in there from yesterday... dry but wrinkled haha.
Love ya
Pam

Uh, joy? Laundry? Are you absolutely, positively certain those two things go together?

Thank you for the encouragement. You are right. I'm sure there will come a time in many of our lives when we wish we had loved ones with us to do laundry for.

Blessings,

Good Morning,
This was so good! As this is what the Lord showed me many years ago when I was a young over laundered Momma...
Your precious and your doing an eternal act with the natural wash :)
Blessings,Roxy xo

I love that Amy!!! I am so going to have to try this. Most days I don't mind doing laundry but other days I fill like it's a never ending job! And the clothes keep on coming!
Miss you tons.
Thanks for the fun tips.
