Gluten Free Brownies...

One of my dear sweet girlfriends has gone Gluten Free
and I have been trying to learn and create some new desserts
that she can enjoy when she comes for a visit.

She had made these brownies awhile back and asked me to try it.
Well, I just loved it!
I mean who can go wrong with Chocolate!!
And ,when she told me it was a Gluten Free Brownie
I was just shocked at how yummy it was.

So, if any of your ladies out there are Gluten Free
you have got to give this recipe a try.
And if you aren't Gluten Free, you still need to try it.
It's that delicious!

Gluten Free Double Chocolate Black Bean Brownies

1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate chips + more for top
1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 large egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. plain Greek yogurt
1/4 c. + 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder
2/3 c. sugar

Preheat oven to 350. Spray a loaf pan or an 8x8 pan.
Dust your greased pan with 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder.
Melt chocolate chips in microwave.
This will take about 90 seconds or so. Stir.
Pour black beans and the melted chocolate
in a food processor, blend until smooth.
Add the rest of the ingredients and continue
to process until it's all smooth.
Scraps the sides of bowl if needed.
Pour into prepared pan.
Sprinkle with remaining chocolate chips.
Bake for 25 minutes until top is slightly
 cracked and center is set.
Cool for at lest 30 minutes before cutting.

I will tell you these are a rich brownie!
Eat these with a cup of coffee or a glass of milk.

Enjoy!

Blessings,

I can't wait to give these a try; I don't have any problem putting beans in brownies… I have seen some recipes with beans in it, and I am always thinking… I gotta try these. I have also seen black bean fudge.. but haven't tried it yet either. You might as well add the protein where you can. It looks delicious Amy. Thanks for the recipe.
Love ya,
Pam

Hi Amy! You absolutely can't go wrong with chocolate, I speak from experience! My brother and I were just talking about how many people are trying gluten-free diets, even if they do not suffer from any disease. Seems like we all know someone who is cutting gluten out of their diet.

You are a good friend to provide a yummy treat for our friend. I am so happy that you enjoyed it so much :)

Blessings,
Ceil
