Simple Ice Cream Dessert...

This has got to be one of the easiest desserts I have ever made!

All you need is:
1 bag of Oreo Cookies
Strawberries
1 one quart of soft vanilla ice cream

Place your Oreo cookies in a large zip lock baggie.
Crush them up with your rolling pin.

Spread them out into a 9x13 baking dish.

If your ice cream isn't quite soft,
mix it with a mixer.
(I used my Kitchen Aid)

Now carefully, spread it over the crushed cookies.

I had frozen strawberries in the freezer,
but feel free to use fresh sliced strawberries.

Layer your whole or sliced strawberries
over the top of your ice cream,
gently press them into the ice cream.

Can you see all the yummy layers?
Now, place your covered pan into the freezer until it firms
back up and the ice cream is frozen once again.

Cut into squares and enjoy!

This is a perfect summer dessert.

We actually eat this year round.
 It's highly requested for Birthdays!

I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing day!

Hugs and Blessings,

Hi Amy! How are you this warm Wednesday? I am visiting a friend in the south of the state. It's in the 90's and humid! Real summer weather. If you think of it, would you pray for her? She is recovering from surgery.

This dessert looks heavenly! Any recipe that has oreos in it is a friend of mine. Love those things, and I am well out of childhood :)
I hope you continue to do well, and are having a wonderful day,
Ceil

Hello Amy! You are so clever, sweet friend! This sweet treat looks amazing with it's simple and tasty ingredients. This one is a MUST TRY :) My dad enjoys his Oreo's (his cookie jar at home is always full with them) so I will have to make this next time he and my mom come over.

Have a blessed week. Hugs to you!

This dessert would make nicely with my homemade ice cream (and perhaps a drizzle of chocolate at the end). Yum! Thank you for sharing it with us and joining us in the weekly link up :)

Your blog is very beautiful!

Oh yum! Looks great!

My daughter (teenforthelord.blogspot.com) took some crushed oreos, half a stick of butter and mixed them together in the bottom of a pan. She softened mint chocolate chip icecream and mixed in crushed oreos. Then she poured them over the oreos. Next she froze it until hard. She took it out a few hours later, "frosted" it with Cool Whip and decorated with more oreos. Ice cream "cake". Yum!
