It has been so cold here lately
that we have needed a lot of hot chocolate!
I have been wanting to make up a big batch of Hot Chocolate Mix
and I finally got around to making some up.
I searched and searched for the right one
and finally found this recipe.
I liked this one, because it was a bit different than all the others.
And it's one that you can store a big batch of it in a jar
and use 2 Tbsp. per each mug made!
I hope you give this one a try!
Mexican Hot Chocolate Mix
1/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. cocoa powder
2 1/3 c. powdered milk
Combine all the ingredients into a bowl.
Mix really well.
Pour into a jar.
To make a mug of hot chocolate:
Add 2 heaping tablespoons of hot cocoa mix
to a mug with hot water.
Stir well.
Add in some marshmallows,
a drizzle of chocolate or a sprinkle of cinnamon!

Never thought of putting cinnamon in hot chocolate,Amy. I do love hot chocolate with marshmallow or a cuppa hot tea!

Hi Amy! I am sitting here with my leg up on a pillow. The snow is falling, and I have my little angel all lit up for a winters afternoon.
What am I missing? Hot cocoa!!! I'm showing this to my husband, it's perfect for today. All that would be missing is you. We'll toast to you instead :)

I like Mexican Hot Chocolate… or any version in cold weather is wonderful. This sounds good, I like the brown sugar in it. I sometimes like to put hot chocolate in my coffee; then I get a two for one drink :) Stay warm and cozy. Love you.
