Hidden Surprise In A Cracker...

Happy Monday Everyone!

It's been yet another busy week here.
I've been:

Planning our school year,
Getting ready for a Labor Day Camping Trip, Yay!
Learning to do Secretarial work all over again (Smiles)
Entertaining several friends over the course of my last post!!
Laundry, Laundry and more Laundry!

What have you been up to?

So, in the midst of all the busyness
I have the perfect snack to share with you all.

It's sweet and salty and just what the Doctor ordered!

Rolo Cracker Sandwiches

3 sleeves of Ritz Crackers
1 bag of Rolos, unwrapped

Preheat over to 275 degrees.
On a baking sheet, place one Ritz cracker and top with a rolo.
Place in oven for 2-3 minutes or until rolos have a glossy look.
Take cracker/rolo out of oven and immediately place on the second cracker.
Lightly push down.
Remove from pan and cool!

If these make it to your storage jar,
store them in the refrigerator or freezer!

Bet you can't eat just one!

Have a great week!
AMY

That's a simple and great treat to make for kids or grandchildren. I love Rolo's.

{{gasp}} Rolo's are the secret ingredient?! YUM! I thought it was going to be Nutella :) This would make such a tasty snack for my little one during school days. Thanks Amy, you're the best!

How fun to be going camping! My husband and I usually go camping during the summer months, but with him and our brother-in-law venturing out in a joint business it has been busy here and we haven't had much free time. Have fun, my friend! Hugs to you!

Hi, I'm visiting from Roses of Inspiration. Those cracker surprises sound yummy. When my oldest sister was a toddler, my parents lived out in the country, had no TV, and didn't get into town very often. Not wanting to feed her too much sugar, my mother taught my sister that a cookie was a Ritz cracker, and that lasted until they moved to a big city when she was 4 and the jig was up. That little trick never worked with my brother and me, especially since our church served cookies and punch after service every Sunday, but our family still refers to them as cookies sometime.

Oh, YUM! Ritz crackers make the best base for a sweet salty combo! Have you ever made the Girl Scout Cookie Thin Mints with them? All you do is dip them in melted semi-sweet chocolate with mint flavoring and let cool! I will have to try this Rolo trick...thanks for sharing!

Hi Amy! Oh my gosh, two of my most favorite things...Rolo and Ritz! Brilliant!!

i know this is the time of year when families are amping it up for school. And I see that you are now a school board member? That will be perfect for you, I know you are so caring and involved in your children's education. You can really help others do it too.

I am busy cleaning the house (and sneaking on to the computer!), and getting ready for my Colorado sister and her daughter to come and visit me. She's a nurse too, and we've always been close. She'll be visiting my Dad, but I hope to have good chat time with her myself.
Happy camping weekend :)
