Focus on God's Majesty...

God's Grace Overflows

I love clouds!
I love how they form throughout the day
they come and go
and some days the whole sky is blanketed
with these beautiful white clouds.

Such an amazing sight!

This morning when I opened up my devotional I read
about clouds and Focusing on God's Majesty.

Wow!

So, I wanted to share what I read, because
I thought it was such a good read
and lo and be hold, I wanted to write on clouds and His Majesty.

God's timing is always so perfect, wouldn't you say?

Some years ago a sociologist accompanied a
group of mountain climbers on an expedition.
Among other things, he observed a distinct correlation
 between cloud cover and contentment.
When there was no cloud cover and the peak was in view,
the climbers were energetic and cooperative.

When the gray clouds eclipsed the view of the
mountain top, though, the climbers were sullen and selfish.

The same thing happens to us.
As long as our eyes are on God's Majesty there is a bounce in our step.
But, let our eyes focus on the dirt beneath us and we will grumble
about every rock and crevice we have to cross.

For this reason Paul urged, "Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground,
absorbed with the things right in front of you.
Look up, and be alert to the things going
around Christ-that's where the action is.
See things from His perspective!
Colossians 3:1-2

I couldn't have written that better myself!

I want to always keep focused on God
and all that He is doing in my own life.

God's Grace Overflows

You have not seen Christ, but still you love Him.
You can not see Him now,
but you believe in Him.
1 Peter 1:8

I hope you all are having a great start to your week!

Hugs & Blessings,

Wow Amy, what a post! And oh so true! I gretly appreciated these truths, my friend, and the gentle reminder to keep my eyes and heart focused up God the King.

Thanks for sharing, sweet friend! And I just love the new look of your home :) Hugs to you!

Oh dear Amy, I too just love the clouds! I think they add so much character to the sky... and to our life! I loved your analogy of them, and the devotional you shared. May we always remember that faith means believing, even when you can't see... just as when clouds cover the horizon, it doesn't mean the horizon has changed, it is still there, and that is when we must exercise our faith to believe, until we can see again :) Have a beautiful and blessed week yourself! :)

We've had some really pretty clouds the last few days. The cirrus clouds that gently smear and grace the sky with pretty swirls. I used to lay on the grass as a child and imagine images from the big puffy clouds (cumulus). God used a cloud to guide the children of Israel during the day. Lovely post Amy. God shows His majesty everywhere! Have a great week! Diane

I am a cloud watcher and lover too...I find myself completely mesmerized by them at times and feel so very close to the Father when I'm gazing on them. Your post is very true, Amy...such wisdom here from the word of God. Thank you for this beautiful reminder!

Hi Amy! I think it's true for me too. When it's cloudy and gray, all I want to do is sleep!
Looking up is a great way to keep me from gazing at my navel all day. There's a big world out there! And I can meet God there, not just in my own circle.
Hope you had a good week!
