It's Canning Time...

Can you guess what I have been up too?

I've been canning...

Above, I made up 3 batches of Strawberry Freezer Jam
This is the recipe we used:

We made up a couple batches of Plum Jelly
This is our most favorite flavor!

Then I made up a batch of Pear Butter.
This is very tasty and it's even good just by the spoonful!

Pear Jelly...

Finally we canned several batches of tomatoes!

We still need to make and can salsa,
so hopefully we can get that done before the end of the month.

You have surely been very busy! I know how much time and effort goes into canning, and yet the enjoyment of having it on your shelves and eating it throughout the winter is so worth it! I have never made pear butter, it sounds delicious! Congratulations to your two boys getting baptized! What a special time that is for your family... and the harvest party sounds fun too... so much to enjoy this time of year! I made two pumpkin pies from one of the pie pumpkins that finished ripening, and they were oh so good. Hugs to you Amy, have a blessed and wonderful week!

What a busy girl you have been! I LOVE Strawberry freezer jam and haven't made any in years. I used to make apple butter in the fall for hubby but he can't eat it anymore. xo Diana
