Let it Shine!

This little light of mine,
I'm gonna let it shine!

Let it Shine, Let it Shine, Let it Shine!

This was always one of my favorite songs when I was growing up.

As a child, I was afraid of the dark, who wasn't?
When I got older, I told myself it wasn't the dark I was afraid of,
it was what was in the dark that would make me frightened.

And now, that I am much older and a daughter of the Lord
I shouldn't be afraid at all, because I let the light shine within the darkness!

Your word, Oh Lord, is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.
Psalms 119:105

It's amazing what one little flicker of a lantern, candle, or flashlight can do!

You can see through the dark and it takes away
from those wandering fears that you may be having.

We are not suppose to be walking around in the dark and
we are not suppose to hold fear with us.

We are suppose to be the Light in the dark
and let the Glory of the Lord shine through us.

God is the Light; in him there is no darkness at all!
1John 1:5

Are you in the Light?

Blessings,

I love those old looking lanterns.
But I am so grateful for the light! I laughed because Kevin use to say that all the time. I am not afraid of the dark!!
It's what's in the dark, that I am afraid of :)
I loved this sweet post; and the song does bring back many memories! Big Hug, Roxy

Hi Amy! I like your study on the light and the dark. We all travel through those attitudes, hopefully coming to faith whatever the circumstance. With the Lord we do see!

Thank you for being a little light for me, and everyone who stops by here. I know that I am in the light if I choose to be. And I do want that!

Happy Tuesday,
Ceil
