Last Days of Summer and a Hunting Trip...

God's Grace Overflows

Even though Summer has come to an end,
well not officially yet since Summer stretches to the 22nd...
But you get my point, right?!

We did another trip to the beautiful mountains.

My guys went hunting!
I came along for the first few days
and I must say I had fun.

I didn't actually hike through the woods with them,
I stayed at camp during the morning hunts
and then a few hours before the sunset we all went
to glass the hillsides in the SUV.

Such beautiful country up in them mountains.

I apologize for the ones that follow me on Instagram
as you have all ready seen most of these photos.

God's Grace Overflows

These beautiful flowers were right
outside my camper door.

In the woods, not an RV park or camp ground.

Pure bliss and in awe of God's Creation!

God's Grace Overflows

See this bird here, I'm not sure what kind it is
but let me tell you,
he dive bombed me every
time I had food in my hand.
LITERALLY!
I may or may not have screamed
 and ran a few times.

(Smiles)

So, finally my boys thought they'd just feed the birds
so they wouldn't go after me.

How very thoughtful!

God's Grace Overflows

This road was right near our camp,
I just love the thought
of how many have traveled down this road.
Beautiful pine trees and speckles of color
all the way down the bumpy road.

God's Grace Overflows

These little red berries are considered BEAR food
up here. Yes BEAR!!  You heard me right!
Once I found out that there were BEARS,
I stayed very close to camp with my gun on my hip!!

My guys went and got wood for the camp fires
and my middle son comes back and says
"Guess what I saw?"
A BEAR CUB!!!

Not even 5 miles from my camp!

I tried to tell myself maybe he's like Yogi Bear.
He won't bother me, if I don't bother him.

Yep, it worked for awhile until I heard
 their were hunters hunting bear
(including my oldest son)

All I can say is,
I walked around each tree around camp
and prayed for safety and proctection
for all of us!!

God never let's me down!!

God's Grace Overflows

I just love old trees!!
This pine tree was seeping sap.
Ooey and Gooey...
If only this tree could talk,
imagine the stories it could share.

God's Grace Overflows

My boys enjoying several rides
on the four wheelers!
Up and down and back again they went....

So much fun!

I'm heading back to the mountains this weekend
to help haul stuff home...

So far only a few shots, for those elk are quick!
I personally think Archery
season is a hard hunt...

Thank goodness we only have 3 more trips
 planned for this hunting season!!

So in the meantime...

I hope you all have a wonderful September!!

Thanks so much for stopping by....

Peaceful Mountains...

God's Grace Overflows

Hello!
How are you all doing?

How's your Summer?

I don't know if you've noticed or not,
but Summer is just flying by...

On one of our camping trips,
 I played with all the different settings on my camera
and I wanted to share some of them with you.
These have not been changed in any way.
Just Our Heavenly Father's Beauty for us to simply enjoy!

I love all flowers, especially ones near rushing water.
AMAZING!

I'm Home and Some Fun Photos To Share...

We have made it home from our nice little camping trip
to the mountains.
This is the road up to our camp.
Isn't it beautiful?

It was very green and wet up there!

Look close...What do you see?

My Little Lumber Jack cutting down a Tree!
(Hey that rhymes...Haha)

Two of my boys hanging by the camp fire
and if you haven't figured it out yet...
Yes, it was a bit chilly up there!

We had a guest by our camp,
enjoying some nice leafy lunch.
Yum-Yum!

The view was just amazing!!
And yes that is a fresh blanket of snow on those mountains!
Did I mention it was cold??

My bigger Lumber Jack clearing a path
on one of the many trails we took.

We got stuck, many times over the course of our trail rides
I think it had something to do with all the snow!!
Haha!
It was so much fun!

The little ones taking a break from getting stuck
and clearing yet another path for us!

My little bug, drew me a smiley face in the snow!

Winching out.....again!

Look there is life under all that snow....
God's Beauty was all over that mountain!

Can you guess what kind of track this is?
It's an Elk Track!
And they were all over the fields...

Mr. Squirt riding the trail!

Mr. Monkey doing what he does best!

Just hanging out!

Again Mr. Monkey was so proud to write
MOM in the snow...

The trees were starting to produce baby pine cones
even in that bitter cold weather!

This was one of the many roads that we decided not to try
and drive on....

It's so pretty untouched...

And the trail continues...
Until our next adventure!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been a great week home,
trying to get caught up from being gone so long.
So many things to do with Summer coming and all.
Rain is still falling daily, our ground is soaked.
Praying our trees will once again grow new leaves
 from the destruction of the hail storms.
Been cleaning up and working in the yard
and you'll be happy to know that our strawberries
and rhubarb are growing again!
And we even have a few red strawberries on the plants!
We are planting some flowers a little at a time
and the greenhouse is starting to bear veggies...
Even in the midst of all the storms,
there is life!
Thank you Jesus!!
I hope you all have a blessed week!
Hugs,
Fun in the Mountains...
So, I promised I would get these pictures posted of our camping trip.
So, here you go!  Enjoy!
We all had a blast and we have lots of stories to tell.
I didn't take any pictures of our "Follow the Leader" hike,
because I don't think the camera would have made it out alive!
Ha! Ha!
There were several deer right next to our camp
 and we were lucky enough to set and watch them graze each night.
Such amazing animals they are!
I took lots of pictures of the wildflowers!
I was trying out new settings on my camera.
I love this one, it's such a vibrant yellow!
It shouts Joy!
Isn't God's landscape just beautiful?!
My oldest son is trying his hand at gold panning.
He didn't strike it rich,
 but he found some really pretty rocks!
My middle son showing off the rock he climbed.
On one of the rock hikes, he slipped off and his
big brother caught him with one hand before
falling several feet down the mountain.
Whew... that was intense for the moment!
 Thank God for big strong brothers!
And quick answered prayers!
My hubby, trying to catch some stream fish.
No luck... all the fish just disappeared!
Imagine that... Hee Hee!
And here's my youngest son showing off his rock climbing abilities.
He got smart and asked if he could tie a rope to the top
and use that as a safety guide to help him down!
He gets that from his mama! :)
And, that is our little mini vacation to the mountains.
And, still praising God for no BEARS!
I hope you enjoyed your visit
Come again....soon!
Blessings and Hugs,
Amy
