I love to try anything new when it comes to baking or cooking!
I love being able to use wholesome ingredients
to create something fresh and healthy for my family.
I don't know if you have noticed or not,
but every time you go to the store and you look
at the back ingredients list,
it's really not that healthy for you.
I'm not an extreme health nut by any means,
but I have been becoming aware of whats in my food.
Do they really need to put all those dyes in our food?
If you can't pronounce the ingredients, it's probably bad for you.
So, I got to thinking.....
Why not try to make life a little simpler by
just trying something for the first time.
Make it from scratch if you can.
Know what you are putting in your mouth!
Think outside the box!!
And, this is how I came across trying to make Homemade Butter,
And I have made it three times now!
It is so good, it takes a little time to make, but it is SO worth it in the end.
And, if you have a kitchen aid, it really does all the work for you.
I didn't take step by step pictures when I made mine,
so I am posting the link that I found to be quite
helpful when trying this for the first time.
All you need is:
One Quart of Heaving Whipping Cream
salt for taste
And or course a Kitchen Aid
Click on the link below:
I got 4-6, medium size bars from making 1 quart of whipping cream into butter.
I wrapped them up individually in saran wrap
and placed them in the freezer until ready to use.
And, you get one pint of freshly squeezed Buttermilk!
What more can you ask for?!
I hope you give this a try,
you won't regret the decision one bit!
Yum-Yum!
Happy Baking,
