House Remodel Update...

Our House Remodel is almost complete!
Just a few more added touches and our covered porch is completed.

Next, we'll be building my in laws covered porch
and then roofing the homes once the weather cools down.
We will also be getting new screen doors and our main doors
will be painted Geranium Red! Yahoo!

Once our doors are finished and my in laws covered porch is done
I'll post a few more pictures.

Until then, enjoy the photos...

Here's our home before construction began.
It's pretty beat up...

Here's my in laws home before...

Choosing colors...
This was a very hard task for us.
I think my house had a total of  7 colors on it before we decided!

Getting ready to pour new concrete...

Got rid of the wooden deck and got a new cement slab...

No more snakes can hide underneath this...

New sidewalks made...
(This joins my house to Roxy's)
~Yes and if you haven't figured it out by now
Roxy from Living From Glory To Glory is my mom in law!~
(Smiles)

My In Laws after picture...
Isn't is such a pretty color?

The main green color is called Bull Frog
and the trim color is called Tempered Sage
It's top of the line Sherwin Williams Paint!

Beginning stages of building our covered porch...

Choosing the right rusted metal...
This is an actual antique,
they don't make small ridged corrugated metal anymore.

Hubby cutting the metal to fit on my gable...

The porch is up and ready for the metal...

Hubby getting the metal into position...

First piece is up...

Finished with getting it all up...

A closer view of what it looks like finished...
Don't you just love the way it looks?

My very rustic bell hanging from
a unique piece of wood we found...
Love it!

Finally finished...
What do you all think?

The two poles up front have a slight bend in them
creating a unique look to our rustic porch...

Some added red accents around our homes...
Love my RED!

Even our swing set got a new coat of RED paint!

This has been a long process, but I think the outcome is
AMAZINGLY AWESOME!

God was so good to us,
we got amazing deals along the way...

And we are truly Blessed!

I hope you all have a Wonderfully Blessed Week!

Oh wow! You guys sure have been busy! It is so hard to choose colors, but isn't it awesome when it is all done, and your hard work looks so amazing! I love the touch of red amidst the dark green and old metal look! Your new porch added tremendous character to your house, and thankfully now you don't have to worry about snakes, lol! I can't wait to see the picture of your red door... love those red doors! I know you will be spending lots of wonderful moments outside under your covered porch and when the fall rains come,it will be so nice to hear the pitter patter of the rain drops! Enjoy it all dear friend, so happy for you!

Hi Amy! Your husband is just a whiz at construction! Your cement pad looks amazing, with a fun contrasting edge and everything! What a great idea to have the distressed metal on the porch roof, I never would have thought of that. You two are quite a pair, you work well together!

Roxy's house has a whole new feel to it, the green is so pretty. And she has that 'pop of red' too in the chairs by the door. So your houses match too :)
Enjoy your wonderful project!

Amy, I just love what you did with the houses! It was a lot of work I am sure, but it looks wonderful! I bet when you walk outside and see that beautiful porch and that cute table, you can say all that work definitely paid off. Love the colors!

I love the rustic feel it gives off. I hope to build a play set for my children someday soon. The red chairs look fantastic with the house. I can't get over how nice the green color is too! My wife and I are sitting here looking at it and considering of now painting our house a similar color.
