Money Problems: God or Cash?

For the love of all money is the root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
1 Timothy 6:10

Have you noticed all the many sayings that people think are in the bible but are not?

"Cleanliness is next to godliness."  Nope, not there.

"God helps those who help themselves." Not there either.

But, the most misquoted non-scripture has to be " Money is the root of all evil."
The bible doesn't say that at all!

What the bible does say is that the love of money is the root of all sorts of evil.
Money is neither good or bad.
Yet God is concerned with how you acquire money, how you spend it,
and where wealth ranks in your list of priorities.

God says you must decide what you are going to love most- Him or Money!

When we choose to love money, it can lead to all sorts of compromised decisions and makes us more vulnerable to temptation.  God's Word warns us that if we make money a priority over him, we'll bring a lot of unnecessary grief into our lives and the lives of others.

God allows us to be the caretakers of what He provides, including our money.  Let's love God first and foremost and realize that everything all ready belongs to Him anyways.

God wants us to Love Him and manage His money well.

Have a great week!

Blessings,

It all belongs to Him! And learning to be a good manager of
not only our money but also our time. I do need to be more careful with our monies as the cost just keeps going up. That is why the word tell us to put our money into His Kingdom. Loved the picture of Donald Duck! I think the scripture that says money has wings is so true.

Hi Amy! What a great distinction...it truly is the root. We make it for good or bad.

I choose the Lord, and hope that he will help me have the right attitude about it.

Nice to see you :)

Oh what, what a great post Amy. Its so true, and I agree whole heatedly. We need to be good stewards of all that He gives us, whether money, land, family, work, gifts, or ideas.
Love and Blessings,
Pam
