Isn't this peacock just so beautiful?
God created his beautiful colors and feathers!!
What an amazing creation this bird has!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Did you know that if you look up the word beauty
in the scriptures, you would find several.
Well, I have been doing just that during my morning bible study
and these are some of the ones that I found and of course love to read!
One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days
of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.
Psalms 27:4
The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your Lord.
Psalms 45:11
To provide for those who grieve in Zion- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
Isaiah 61:3
Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You were the model of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty."
Ezekiel 28:12
Instead it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty
of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.
1 Peter 3:4
He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
Do you have another scripture that you just simply find amazing??
Have a blessed week!
Hi Amy! Oh my goodness, what encouraging passages you have here! God thinks we are so beautiful, makes you wonder why we don't think we are.
Your bible study sounds so awesome! Do you do it alone, or in a group? I like group studies sometimes, it's interesting to hear the walk of others.
I think the 'King is enthralled with your beauty' Amy!
Happy travels!
Yes, what a 'beautiful' post Amy! I am so enlightened and encouraged every time I visit you. I love these scriptures. They have brought much peace and joy. I love to picture you doing your morning devotion. It sounds lovely.
I love this Amy. Love the beautiful peacock. The Lord made him beautiful didn't he. Sometimes the enemy tries to make us think any reflection on beauty is some how vain. You see this played out in other countries where all the beauty is gone. There is no God there, and there is no beauty either. I won't name the countries, but you can picture it. The Lord is the author of beauty. Satan is the counterfeit. His beauty
is empty. The Father's beauty is wondrous and lovely, whether it is His own or His creation, it is full of substance, loveliness, satisfaction, godly pleasure and delight.
Love and blessings
Amy, Thanks for the compliment on my new pictures on my Blog. It felt good to change a few things. I realized that it was in 2009 I added most my information. Now I need a good picture to change my profile. That silly little crooked smile I got :)
I was thinking that the scripture that tells me to Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteouness, and all these things will be added to you. It has been a corner stone for me...
Blessings, Roxy
Hi Amy,
One might say that was a beautiful post. ~smile~ I'm so glad you're searching God's scriptures. It's one of the most valuable ways to use our time.
I have heard it mentioned in a sermon just last night and heard the Lord speaking and it is again that I read it in your Isaiah 61:3 verse listed below. He is our first beauty and the creator of it all! He is so GOOD!
Love you
