Sunsets are the most glorious gift from God!
Each one has it's very own unique design.
Splashes of beautiful colors...
Purples, pinks, yellows and blues.
Even on nights that are cold and snowy
they all tell a story.
God sure knew what he was doing
when he painted the night skies...
News from the Homestead....
How are you all?
How is the New Year treating you thus far?
We are all trying to get back into a routine.
My oldest is taking driving classes
with an instructor this week.
These classes are mandatory!
He'll be getting his license next month!
He has one more day after today.
My hubby and I will be celebrating our
20th Anniversary next week!
So I've been celebrating since the first!
20 years is a huge deal!!
I've been trying to slow down...
Life is like a fast moving whirl wind.
I want to enjoy the days as they go by,
not wonder where the day went...
My word for the New Year is:
PAUSE
I'm going to pause before the Lord daily.
Pause and take things as they come.
To pause and reflect before continuing forward.
Pause...take a break more often!
Did you get a word or a phrase for the year?
I'd love to hear, if you'd like to share!
Have a great day!

Twenty years is certainly something to be celebrated! Happy Anniversary!!!
The best movie in the world is a sunset!
That is a GREAT word, Amy!!! What a good idea to just PAUSE. Congrats on 20 years. We have double that in now and haven't killed each other yet. lol
AND congrats on having a new driver in the family. Don't you just wonder where your 'little guy' went sometimes.
Blessings to you- xo Diana
Congrulations on 20 years, Amy! We had our 53rd Dec.20th.
My granddaughter can get her learners license in March. Oh MY that isn't far off!
"Pause" that's a good word, I need to use it! If you don't mine.
I love your sunset pictures. I have always been so taken with the amazing sunsets I have been able to see in my lifetime...
Each day is such a blessing if we will do that simple thing a few times a day PAUSE... Love it!
And it does my heart good to have you as a daughter, my son was given a great wife all those many years ago!
I can hardly believe the boy/man is getting license, but he will be a good driver or his grandma will go everywhere with him to may sure LOL (NOT)
Stay warm and safe...
The cookies on Instagram sure looked yummy hint, hint
Love ya Girl, Rox
Of all the beauty in the skies, I love sunsets the best.
So happy for you to be celebrating your 20th anniversary with your husband! We celebrated our 20th this past August. Yes, it's a very special milestone and what a treasure from the Lord!
Yes, driving licences are a big deal for our children to. My oldest is driving now to, and it's great to see them learn and gain some independence through it. We don't have mandatory classes here so my husband and I taught her. Her father is an amazing driver and she definitely takes after him.
I just love your word for the year "pause". I have thought on that many times this past year. The world seems to call us to busyness, but we don't need to follow. I find it's in those quiet moments that the most cherished things in life can be found. Last year I had also been thinking about the word intentional. I would still like to live with that word in mind this coming year. To be intentional in how I spend my time.
Have a wonderful day!
Congratulations on your 20th anniversary! Loved the picture of you two! Isn't it amazing how fast the years pass! And now your son getting his license to drive, a bit scary, but exciting too, I do remember. My kids are now in college, oh my. The years have a way of flying by. Hugs and congrats to you today!
PS... I LOVE the sunset pictures, especially the one where the sun is setting with the snow and fence! Wow, lovely! Hugs :)
