Welcome Friends...

Welcome Friends!

Welcome to our Homestead!

This is the place to be where you come
for good fellowship and lots of laughs!

There are so many nice things to do out on the prairie
And you all are probably thinking, like what?

Well, did you know you can take a walk out on
this old dusty prairie and actually stay on your own road?

You can see for miles and miles!

We got a pretty amazing view of the mountains on a clear day.

My children can play outside and you don't
have to worry about something happening to them.
Well, maybe outrunning a dirt storm....

We always have something to do, ALWAYS!

Theres the garden to attend to, weeding (lots of weeding), watering,
burning lots of tumbleweeds, building a new garage and a new chicken coop,
playing tag, chasing the dogs, riding your bikes on our own little dirt road,
taking a walk, swimming (when it's warm) swinging, having a picnic outside.

I mean the list of possibilities are ENDLESS!

We are literally miles away from the closest store
And..... Guess What??

I LOVE every moment of it!

Prairie life isn't for everyone,
because at times it does have it's down falls.
But overall I thank God each and every day
for moving us way out and onto the Prairie!

And you know another thing that is simply amazing?

God speaks to me even out here on the prairie!

He's moving friends, don't stop waiting...

Look for the signs and the wonders,
they are out there!

Don't let your light burn out!

Always keep it full of oil and watch
and see what the Lord has in store for you!

It will be full of endless possibilities!

I hope you have a wonderful day
And thanks for stopping by my little piece of heaven
(Even if it is on the Prairie)

In God's Grace,

I've always loved your welcome sign Amy. And I am lovin your pictures. I can vouch first hand for all the wonderful things there are to do out your way... and love it very much. A prairie is a beautiful thing. Don't get blown away. The wind is really howling out here tonight at our place.
Love and Blessings,
Pam

It reminds me of large parts of Australia that are hot, dry and brown (with very little rain) and go on and on forever. I am a lush green grass and mountains gal but I am glad there are others that love this landscape. Much of our "sunburnt country" is cattle country which I think is what most of yours is used for.

Blessings

Hi Amy ... I just prayed for you over at Ceil's place ... and just had to come and visit and say 'hey.'

Blessings today from this New Yorker!

I think my family would enjoy Prairie life despite the hardships, too. We have been talking for a while now about moving some place that is a bit more isolated. Our area is growing up and being over taken by chicken houses, and not the kind I have! Thank you for such encouraging thoughts no matter where the Lord has put us. Praying for you today and for drought relief. {{hugs}}

Hi Amy! You make such a wonderful case for living out in the prairie. Your children are so blessed to live in a safe and fun environment. And you don't have to worry about them playing around cars either!

I saw a news show where tumbleweeds were a real problem in Arizona. They had so many, people had a hard time getting to the door of the house! Keep burning them for sure :)
Have a fun, prairie weekend my friend,
Ceil

I live in the Denver Metro area and came from a smaller town Pueblo, 120 miles South of Denver. Our youngest son attends college in Kansas in a small community in South Central Kansas. We enjoy visiting him there and I am happy to know another Colorado blogger. I would like to live in a smaller community now that I am getting older but my hubby and I still work full time. We recently visited NYC. It is a fast paced amazing place. I am happy to visit you and believe God sent me to the other blog so I could come here and meet you. Life is good and you post was a good read. Thank you. Hugs, Anne

I love this Amy! I live out in the woods and although there is a little store two miles up the road, I am 20 minutes from town. A lot of folks wonder why I choose to live "way out there" but I love it and wouldn't have it any other way. Enjoy your prarie life...it sounds perfect to me...:) Thanks for visiting and the sweet comment,....you are a sweet blessing!

Hugs, Vicky
