My youngest son Marshall can't eat peanut butter, so I created my own version of Almond Butter Reese Squares. (it's just like Peanut Butter cups but made with Almond Butter) I actually think this way is much better and you gets bits of almonds in every bite. AND, you can't eat just one!
I like to make these year round, but they are perfect for the holidays and family get togethers.
I hope you enjoy them as much as my family does!
Enjoy!
Almond Butter Reese Squares
You will need:
1 pkg. crushed graham crackers
2 sticks melted butter
3 cups powdered sugar
1 cup almond butter
12 oz. bag of milk or semi sweet chocolate chips
Mix the crushed graham crackers, powdered sugar and the almond butter into a larger mixing bowl. Pour in the melted butter and mix till well combined. Press almond butter mixture into a 9x13 pan. Melt the chocolate chips in a small pan or you can melt them in your microwave. Pour hot chocolate over the almond butter mixture. Cover and put into fridge until cooled. Cut into bar sized pieces.
I store mine in the freezer and pull a few pieces out at a time.
These are so yummy!!

It sounds really good; I like the idea of graham cracker crumbs... makes me hungry. I like almond butter too.
Of course the chocolate is always welcome in our house. That's a great idea for Marshal. Hope you are doing well. I just got back from my trip last night and am having a day to catch up on a little rest today... it feels nice.
Love ya
Pam
