Prayer and a Word...

Hello Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderfully Blessed New Year!

I have been doing a lot of pondering on what God
wants for me in this New Year.

I am reading a lot of scriptures
and really figuring out a word,
one word that God really wants me to know inside and out
for the year rather than a resolution.

Diets come and diets go,
but the Lords Word really impacts more!

So, for days I have been praying and inquiring
what I need for this coming year
and I really think He is telling me
"to flourish"

And the one scripture I
keep getting is in Psalms 92:13-15

Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bear fruit in old age;
They shall be fresh and flourishing,
To declare that the Lord is upright;
He is my rock and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

I really like this scripture.
So, I've written this down and I have it next
to my bed and on my mirror in the bathroom.

I want to flourish in everything the
Lord has for me this New Year!

Have you thought about asking
God for a word for this New Year?

If so, would you like to share with me?

I hope you all have a blessed week!

In His Grace,

I've not asked for a word. Perhaps I shall.
God bless you as you flourish in Him.

I pray you flourish in the New Year,Amy. I haven't asked for a word but I do often pray that "the words of my mouth be exceptable in His sight". That I may live a life pleasing to my Loud.

My word for the year is change. Changing our finances, changing our diet (cutting out processed foods), changing spritually (spending more time in the Word).

Wishing you a wonderful New Year!

Dear Amy, I still have not heard a word for me this year that is what I am to ponder and grow in! But I still trust He will give me one in the near future!
My prayer for you is that you will flourish in all you well into old age!
Warmly and with appreciation for your words! Love, Roxy

Amy,
This post has blessed me so much! I think you are so right that it is much better to seek a word from the Lord for the New year as opposed to diets and resolutions. It builds my faith to think of it like this. I love the word that the Lord has given you, and it is very much like what the Lord has been speaking to me. I love your scripture, and I think I will write it down as well. Miss you all. Give hugs to everyone.
Much Love,
Pam

Hi Amy! I love your word! It makes me remember the passage about 'his children flourish like olive plants around his table.' And you most certainly are his precious child.

I look forward to how this word will lead you in 2015. As you know, my word is 'joy' and I think I'll have plenty of growing to do to see joy in all things in my life. It's a challenge! Good for me that I don't mind that at all.

Have a restful night. Be sure to keep watering your roots with Scripture so you'll keep flourishing!
