Creativity...

Do you like to color?
How about drawing?

My middle son loves to color!

He colors pictures for the residents
at my hubby's work.
(My hubby works at an Assisted Living Home.)

My son, loves to bring a smile to someone's face
and he even has a pen pal that he writes, draws
and colors her many pictures!

It's amazing to see and hear from the residents
when they have received one of my sons coloring pages.

He loves to color animals and of course anything outdoors!

The animals have to look realistic or forget it!
Ha!

A few years back my oldest did a Drawing through History course
and he learned to draw (and color) a viking boat.
I was so proud of him, for this course pushed him
to think outside the boat,I mean box!
(Smiles)

My youngest loves to give me little notes
and pictures that he drew.
Sometimes it will be a heart with us holding hands
or doggies like these above.

I will cherish these!

I love that it sparks creativity in my children!

At least twice a week, I'll have them set down and color
or draw something that goes with their lessons.

This is more for my two little guys!
The oldest, not so much...

Some days, I'll even set down and color with them!
I think it's relaxing!

Plus, these are special treasures that I save...

This sign hangs above our coat rack.
I think it's a true statement!

Bring on the Creativity! Have a colorful week!

Hugs & Blessings,

I loved to color as a child! Sadly my daughter doesn't. :( She is creative and draws and builds things out of scrap wood. Sitting down with a coloring book does not bring her pleasure.

Coloring for the residents is such a sweet thing. I know that they enjoy it.

I love it when kids color. All of our grands have always loved to color and paint, too. It is so good for them to do 'hands-on' things rather than be tied to a computer or electronic media. Love it- Your boys are doing a great job. xo Diana

I saved some of the little notes and drawings my kids gave me. We never appreciate them as much until they stop doing it so much.
Blessings,
Laura

It is so exciting to see the creativity in our children! My daughter loved to draw at a young age, and now is an artist with many, many gorgeous paintings that she has painted for us and others. How sweet that your son colors the pictures for the elderly, what a treat and blessing for them! I think coloring truly is such an excellent activity for hand and eye coordination. I also put my children in piano lessons when they were 5 years old. That has paid off as well, as they both are very musically talented today. Creativity in children is always a marvelous thing to encourage. Enjoyed your post today! Hugs to you my friend :)

Sweet drawings and pictures that your boys made. I love to color as well and often color when I have my kinders do a project. My favorite thing to do with them is a directed drawing where I do it step by step and they do the same thing. They are always so different and adorable! They think I am awesome at it...lol! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hugs, Vicky

I love to colour! I think it's fantastic that you colour with your boys sometimes. It is very relaxing and it's wonderful to see what they come up with on their own. Looks like your boys are good at drawing! All of my kids love to do this as well, it's so nice to see what they create. I save their creations to!
